World Environment Day is taking place on Friday, 5 June 2020. Letsolo Water and Environmental Services is looking forward to celebrating this important day, alongside our fellow South Africans who are dedicated to making a difference to the wellbeing and longevity of our beloved planet.

Raise your voice #ForNature

This year’s goal for World Environment Day is to highlight the many challenges faced by nature and what we, as individuals, can do to help ease the burden. Think about it – all the food that we eat, the air that we breathe, and the water that we drink comes from nature. In short, if humans are to thrive, we need to ensure that nature does, too.

We need to start paying more attention to the way in which we conduct ourselves daily. Why hop in the car and drive to the shops when it is within walking distance? Why leave the water running when we wash our hands or brush our teeth? Why buy packaging-heavy produce when it is just as easy to visit the farmers’ market and buy waste-free, all the while supporting local farmers? Tell and show your neighbour how small habits can help protect the natural environment. Making small changes to our lifestyles and raising our voices for nature has the potential to give nature its own voice back.

Letsolo is dedicated to the environment

Here at Letsolo, protecting and nurturing the earth’s natural resources is the sole driving force behind why we do what we do. We work tirelessly to raise awareness about greener living, particularly in relation to adopting water-wise practices and behaviours. Along with providing education to communities regarding eco-friendliness, we also strive to offer a host of environmental services that support this ideal.

Our services include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Hydrological assessments: In conducting these water quantity and quality monitoring and assessments, our team studies and reports on water in a stream, reservoir, etc., usually with the purpose of alerting developers or land managers to potential problems that need to be addressed.
  • Water conservation and water demand management: We conduct accurate audits to determine water use efficiency for our clients, providing them with relevant guidelines, best practices, and solutions thereafter. Our work also included stormwater management plans, integrated water and waste management plans and water balance calculations.
  • Mine residue and stockpile management: We ensure that no substance which has the potential to contaminate water is used for the construction of any dam or other impoundment or embankment.

Furthermore, if your drinking water “JoJo Tank” is showing signs of contamination, contact us for a once-off or routine disinfection.
